I did not know Marillyn, but my heart is still saddened by her passing as we all share the pain that comes from losing in death those we love so much.
So it is with deep respect and heartfelt sympathy that I write this. Please think about what our Loving Creator had preserved for us in his Word the Bible that can help us bear up now and bring us many blessings in the future.
Did you know that the Bible identifies death as an enemy? 1 Corinthians 15:25,26 brings that to our attention, and it also says there that it will be brought to nothing. Noice, again, how this promise is made at Isaiah 25:8: "He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Soverign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces. And the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for Jehovah himself has spoken it."
"If a man die, shall he live again?" asked the man Job long ago. (Job 14;14, King James Version) Perhaps you, too, have wondered about this. How would you feel if you knew that a reunion with your loved ones was possible right here on earth under the best of conditions?
Well, the Bible makes the promise: "Your dead ones will live...They will rise up." And the Bible also says: "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it." Isaiah 26:19; Psalm 37:29.
So our dear loved ones who have died will be resurrected from the memorial tombs mentioned at John 5:28,29
Those mentioned in the Bible that do go to heaven will be ruling over us in the heavenly Kingdom that we all pray for at Matthew 6:9,10.
So it's important that we do as Jesus said at John 17:3, to take in knowledge of him and his Father to receive everlasting life.
