Obituary for Beverly Scott-Corcoran
Beverly Dawn Scott-Corcoran, 65, passed away in Mesa, Arizona on Sunday, July 29, 2012 with her family by her side. She was born in St. Joseph, MO. on March 15, 1947 to Robert J. and Norma Dawn (Tedlock) Mundell.
Beverly was raised in Gallatin, MO. and graduated from Gallatin High School and Trenton Jr. College. She moved to Lake Havasu City in 1967, working in the family business, Mundell's Drive-In. She later became a deputy witht he Mohave County Sheriff's Department, where among her duties was to watch over the fenced compound where the London Bridge was stored.
In 1977 Beverly married Bert Scott, Havasu's first Magistrate Judge. After Bert's death in 1986, Beverly went to work for DES, where she met and married John Corcoran in 1994. Her desire to help people was seen in her work in Vocational Rehabilitation at DES, where she retired in February 2012. Beverly had a great passion and love for all animals, domestic and wild. He love for cats is legendary. She will be deeply missed.
Beverly is survived by her mother, Norma Mundell of Lake Havasu City, AZ.; sister, Linda (Doug) Ray of Mesa, AZ.; brother, Lynn Mundell of Tulsa, OK. and a niece and nephew. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bert L. Scott and John. R. Corcoran and her father, Robert J. Mundell.
Funeral Service will be held at Lake Havasu Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday, August 07, 2012 at noon. Burial will immediately follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
